
SHOWCASE GALLERY JURY
- All OCFA members who wish to exhibit their artwork in the organization’s Showcase Gallery must complete a review of their artwork by the Showcase Gallery jury. Jurying is a standard practice for all galleries that ensures accepted artwork meets the basic standards and criteria of the gallery.
- The Showcase Gallery Jury is made up of current members of OCFA. The Committee conducts jurying via the OCFA online jury submission process.
- To request a jury review of your work, please complete the Jury Review Application (below).
Required Files and Process for Jury Procedure
- You will need to upload a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 artworks in .jpg, format 2Mb max file size. All artwork submitted for jury review must be your work.
- You will need to upload an artist bio and CV in .docx or .pdf format. 1 MB max file size. Do not embed images in the file. See How to write an artist bio and CV
- All artwork submitted for jury review must be your work.
- Once your Jury Review request has been submitted, you will be contacted by the Jury committee for an appointment to review your work.
THINGS TO KNOW ONCE YOU ARE JURIED INTO THE GALLERY
- Once juried into the gallery, you may participate in any of the gallery’s monthly shows. Participation is not required. You may show your work in as many or as few shows as you like.
- All work, framed or unframed, must be appropriately prepared for exhibition per OCFA guidelines.
EXHIBITION FEES
The following fee structure applies to all artworks accepted into a Showcase Gallery exhibition
- $20 Artwork Fee (per piece)
- $15 Reception Fee (per show)
( examples: 1 piece for a one-month show would have a fee of $35; 2 pieces would be $55; 3 pieces would be $75) - $25 Sitting Fee (optional, per show) OCFA Showcase gallery is a member co-op gallery. All show participants can take one 4-hour shift in the gallery during the show or pay a $25 sit fee.
SALES COMMISSION
A 25% commission of the sales price of an artwork is paid to the gallery on all artworks sold by the gallery. 75% of the sales price is paid to the artist.
