Hafez had been told that in the fall of 1964 when he was born in Tehran there was rain as sweet as candy and the fruit on the trees were as big and colorful as balloons.
His father’s songs and poetry constantly filled Hafez’s spirit as a child. This was the inspiration that led him to become an artist. Through Hafez art he was able to change his father’s songs and poetry into colors, lines and textures.
For thirty-five years, Hafez was a faculty member in the Fine Arts Department of the Iranian University of Art and Architecture. By placing his mirror in front of his students’ mirror of their lives, creativity and hope became the reflection of their capacity to create art that was eternal as the two mirror’s reflection of infinity. Hafez also had opportunities to teach children within the community using the same approach using the mirroring reflection technique.
Hafez has received International awards through participating in many festivals.
Hafez illustrated UNICEF’s book of International Convention of the Rights of Children.
Hafez continues to dance the tango with his dreams through the rain as sweet as candy.
