After teaching Spanish for 25 years, Ellen took a black and white photography class just for something creative to do. This “something” turned into a mid-career change that started her on a new adventure.
Once retired, and spending much time at flea markets, Ellen began combining vintage objects with somewhat steampunked birds. The mating of the right bird to the perfect flea market find became “Alfred’s Birds”.
Ellen was a co-director of Advantgarden The Art Gallery in Santa Ana’s Artist Village. She is a member of the Orange County Fine arts association and is a founding member of First Impressions Photography Group, an Orange County based photographic exhibition group.
