Born in New York, my first experiences of art were frequent trips to the Museum of Natural History with my dad, where I would sketch the animals in the dioramas. At the age of six my family moved to Asia, and growing up in Asia, as well as working there as an adult, has been a major influence on my art.
I have a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Pratt Institute in New York, and am a practicing architect. I also am the author of four fiction novels. On the art side, my work includes pen and ink, watercolor, photography, and oils. I am a regular
exhibiting artist at the Cottage Gallery in San Juan Capistrano and at the TAG Gallery in Los Angeles. I also continually have work exhibited in a number of other gallery shows throughout Southern California.
I feel that it is a basic human need to express one’s self, and my art and writing emanates from this impulse. To me, art is storytelling.
