Guidlines to Exhibit Your Artwork in Showcase Gallery(revised 10/31/07) |
| 2-D wall space: $68.00 per show and for optional display of cards and/or reproductions. | ||||||||||

|
||||||||||
| 3-D: $48.00 per show for pedestal/cabinet space for up to 4 pieces and optional display of cards and/or reproductions. | ||||||||||
| Jewelry: $48.00 per cabinet for jewelry display. | ||||||||||
| Be members in good standing in OCFA. | ||
| Have been juried by the Showcase Gallery Committee. Acceptance in any OCFA show does not preclude jurying. Art work is juried during the gallery committee meetings the second Monday of each month. Please drop off work (5 or 6 pieces per medium) to be juried the weekend before. | ||
| Pay for Gallery space. | ||
| Work the gallery or hire a substitute at $25 per session. Payment must be made to substitute in a timely manner or artist will not be allowed to enter in next show. | ||
| Have all work for sale with no special sales limitations or instructions for the gallery workers. | ||
| All work must be in top-quality condition, ready to hang or display using wire, not saw tooth, hangers. Work not properly framed will not be accepted. | ||
| The gallery committee reserves the right to reject work not up to artist’s current standards and/or poorly presented. | ||
| All two dimensional work shown on the walls must be original. | ||
| Limited edition sculpture must so state (i.e. "2 of 10"). | ||
| Check take-in day dates in the "Artists Eye" newsletter. | ||
| All work must be delivered on take-in day between 9 am and 12 noon. Work not delivered on time will not be hung. Early delivery arrangements may be made with the gallery committee. | ||
| Two identification tags must be attached to each piece to facilitate labeling and sales. | ||
| All work must be listed on your inventory sheet. | ||
| Be prepared to sign up for work sessions. The number of sessions depends on length of show and number of artists in show. | ||

Greeting Cards:

||||||||||||||||||
| All items must be original art. | ||
| You do not need to be juried into the gallery to participate in the gallery shop but you need to be a member of OCFA in good standing. | ||
| Framed or unframed reproductions, original art, and greeting cards of artists not showing in the gallery may be in the gallery shop. Artists showing in the gallery may display a limited number of reproductions and greeting cards in the shop free of charge. | ||
| The gallery shop manager reviews work to be accepted into the shop. | ||
| The same standards of quality and originality apply to the gallery shop as in the gallery. | ||
| Artists are responsible for rotating their work and adding new items. The goal of the shop is to display new items on the same schedule as the gallery. The Gallery Shop Manager may request new items to meet this goal. | ||
| A $15 fee for the 2-month time is to be paid at take-in day. | ||
| Artists showing in the shop do not need to work in the gallery. | ||
| A 20% commission (25% for credit card sales) will be taken at the time of sale. | ||
| To show in the gallery shop, contact Cheryl Cooper at csalinac@yahoo.com | ||
| It is the responsibility of the artists showing in the gallery to find their own substitutes. Substitutes are paid $25 per session by the artist being replaced. Refer to the current substitute list. Artists who do not pay their substitutes in a timely manner will not be allowed to enter in next show. | ||
| All substitutes have busy schedules, too. You may have to call more than one to find someone available when you need them. | ||
