     Quality:

  • All work must be in top-quality condition, ready to hang or display using wire, not saw tooth, hangers. Work not properly framed will not be accepted.

  • Limited edition sculpture must so state (i.e. "2 of 10").

     Take-in Day Procedure:

  • Check take-in day dates in the "Artists Eye" newsletter.

  • All work must be delivered on take-in day between 9 am and 12 noon. Work not delivered on time will not be hung. Early delivery arrangements may be made with the gallery committee.

  • Two identification tags must be attached to each piece to facilitate labeling and sales.

  • All work must be listed on your inventory sheet.

  • All work must be professionally shrink-wrapped or in crystal sleeves that fit.
  • Each piece must be clearly marked on the back as either original or reproduction. The type of reproduction must be specified.
  • All pieces must be clean and well presented in the shrink-wrap or sleeve.
  • Each piece must be listed on artist’s inventory sheet.
  • Each piece must be marked with Artist’s Gallery Identification Number and price.

  • Greeting Cards:

  • Gallery artists will be able to display cards in the Gallery Shop without paying shop fee.
  • Each artist may use up to 6 pockets in the greeting card display racks (multiple cards in each pocket). The number of pockets available will depend on the number of artists providing cards.
  • All cards must be marked with the Artist’s Gallery Identification Number and price and be listed on the inventory sheet for multiple items.

     Gallery Shop:

  • All items must be original art.

  • You do not need to be juried into the gallery to participate in the gallery shop but you need to be a member of OCFA in good standing.

  • Framed or unframed reproductions, original art, and greeting cards of artists not showing in the gallery may be in the gallery shop. Artists showing in the gallery may display a limited number of reproductions and greeting cards in the shop free of charge.

  • The gallery shop manager reviews work to be accepted into the shop.

  • The same standards of quality and originality apply to the gallery shop as in the gallery.

  • Artists are responsible for rotating their work and adding new items. The goal of the shop is to display new items on the same schedule as the gallery. The Gallery Shop Manager may request new items to meet this goal.

  • A $15 fee for the 2-month time is to be paid at take-in day.

  • Artists showing in the shop do not need to work in the gallery.

  • A 20% commission (25% for credit card sales) will be taken at the time of sale.

  • To show in the gallery shop, contact Cheryl Cooper at csalinac@yahoo.com

     Substitutes:

  • It is the responsibility of the artists showing in the gallery to find their own substitutes. Substitutes are paid $25 per session by the artist being replaced. Refer to the current substitute list. Artists who do not pay their substitutes in a timely manner will not be allowed to enter in next show.

  • All substitutes have busy schedules, too. You may have to call more than one to find someone available when you need them.
